From embassy security to the trading desk.
I'm Raul Attara, a trading instructor for the financial markets and the founder of TradeNavio, an AI trading journal and coach. I started with no finance degree, no mentor and no roadmap, and built my understanding of the markets through study, mistakes and discipline.
Today I teach what I wish someone had shown me: how to read market structure, protect capital with risk management and execute a repeatable process, so traders don't have to walk the same difficult path alone.

THE SECURITY YEARS
A stable career, a different ambition
Before trading, I worked as a security guard at the Canadian and Italian Embassies, and later with the United Nations. Security work is built on routine, attention to detail and calm under pressure. I had a stable job, but I wanted freedom, independence and the chance to build something of my own.
DISCOVERING THE MARKETS
Curiosity, with no map
That's when I discovered the financial markets. I had no degree in finance, no mentor to guide me and no one to show me the way. Just curiosity, determination and a willingness to learn.
FINDING MY PASSION
A passion for trading
I eventually found my passion in trading, beginning with Gold and widening my view across forex, indices and crypto. The road was far from easy: there were mistakes, setbacks and moments when giving up seemed easier than continuing. Every experience taught me something valuable.

Trading became more than analysing charts and identifying opportunities. It taught me patience, discipline, risk management and the importance of trusting the process.
